God, Sex, & Desire
What are you looking for? In today’s world, we experience a wide array of desires. But in our heart of hearts, there is a deep longing for something more. Ultimately, we long for “another,” seeking love and happiness. These desires are not meant to be entirely stuffed away; rather, they shed light on the most fundamental questions of what it means to be human.
Seminarian Joey Martineck is leading a summer series on God, Sex, & Desire. These dynamic presentations will be offered at no cost at Barber Middle School from 9:30 AM – 10:10 AM on Sundays July 15th, 22nd, and 29th. You are invited to join us as we explore the great mystery of marriage, God’s glorious gift of sexuality, and what can satisfy the deepest desires of our hearts.
Joey Martineck has been studying at Notre Dame Seminary for the past three years, where he obtained a Bachelor’s in Philosophy. He has also studied at the Theology of the Body Institute in Philadelphia, PA. Joey has spoken to thousands across the Archdiocese of Atlanta on human sexuality and desire. He is the book writer of GARDEN the musical and the one act play Wise Men.
