St. Clare has been a member of a six parish (St. Clare, St. Ann, St. Catherine, Holy Family, Transfiguration, and St. Joseph) Habitat for Humanity Coalition since our inception 3 years ago. The Northwest Metro Habitat Catholic Coalition has collectively been involved with the building of 41 homes in Cobb County over the past years. St. Clare, with the Coalition, will begin construction September 9, 2017 of what will be our 5th & 6th homes. It is a great opportunity for fellow parishioners to get together and help deserving families to own a well-built house they can make a home.
Atlanta Habitat was founded in 1983 and is now one of the largest affordable single-family housing developers in the city. Houses are sold at no profit and no interest charged. Becoming involved requires no construction experience; you will be taught all you need to know. Let yourself experience growth in additional knowledge and a great feeling of accomplishment and faith in the human spirit.
So… let’s get started, not only building houses but building hope!
