Parish School of Religion (PSR)
Our teachers of Religious Education have the privilege of supporting and implementing sacrament preparation and faith formation for our children and youth.
PSR Classes available
- Pre-Kindergarten – 4 yrs. old
- Kindergarten – 5th grade
- Grades 6, 7, 8 – Middle School
- Grades 9, 10 – High School
Sacraments received through the PSR program are First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation
- Family must be a registered parishioner of the church
- Baptismal certificate must be on file
- Parent meetings are held in the Fall & Spring
First Reconciliation and First Communion are generally received in the 2nd grade. Students must have successfully completed 1st grade Religious Education and be actively participating in 2nd grade Religious Education. For older students, two consecutive years of Religious Education participation are required. There is also 1 mandatory Retreat Day scheduled in the 2nd grade school year. In the Archdiocese of Atlanta, students are Confirmed in 10th grade. Continuous enrollment in Religious Education is expected for the 2 years prior to receiving the sacrament (8th grade and 9th grade) as well as the year the sacrament is received (10th grade). The sacraments of Baptism, First Reconciliation, and First Communion must have already been received. There is 1 mandatory Retreat Day in the 9th grade school year and 1 mandatory Retreat Day in the 10th grade school year. Parish Registration and PSR Registration can be found here. Medical Release forms are required for retreats and Sponsor forms are required for Confirmation and are available upon request.

Registration for the 2018-19 PSR year will begin 4/15/18 through 8/31/18
Classes will begin in late September in our new building on Cedarcrest road. Exact dates for the start of PSR (and calendar) is dependent on our construction schedule, and will be posted later this summer.
The cost for PSR is as follows:
Early Registration – April 15 – June 15
Cost: One child – $95 Two or more children – $180
Registration – June 16 – July 30
Cost: One child – $145 Two or more children – $230
Late Registration – August 1 – August 31
Cost: One child – $ 195 Two or more children – $280
2nd graders – $20
9th graders – $30
10th graders – $50
Registration forms are on the St. Clare website that you may complete online or you may pick up a form during PSR. This year you will be able to pay online. Go to “Online Giving” and click on “Give a New Gift”, then select your payment by Parish School of Religion (PSR) 2018-19. You will need to add some information to the online giving site, unless you already give online. Forms may be emailed to Kristy Baumgart at email@example.com or mailed to the rectory at:

If you have a child who attends Catholic School and would like them to make their First Communion or Confirmation with St. Clare, please fill out a registration form. In the notes section, indicate that your child attends Catholic School and they are registering for the sacrament only. Registering your child through our PSR program gives us a way to make sure they are getting all of the information needed for sacramental preparation.

Wednesdays 4:45pm – 6:00pm K-5
Saturdays 4:00pm – 7:00pm 6th – 10th (Dinner will be served before Mass)
Sundays 9:00am – 10:15am
