The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is the process for adults to be received into the Catholic Church.

RCIA Registration Form

RCIA is for adults:

  • Who were never baptized
  • Who were baptized in a Protestant faith and who wish to become Catholic
  • Who were baptized Catholic but were never confirmed

The RCIA Journey…

The RCIA journey begins with your desire to learn more about becoming Catholic.  The program offers faith formation, discipleship and fellowship for adults 18 years and older embraced by prayer, study and spiritual direction, that will prepare you for full communion into the Catholic Church.  This is a 7-8 month program beginning each year in the Fall.

The Christian Initiation process leads to the celebration of the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist, which are received during the Easter Vigil Liturgy on Holy Saturday.

RCIA Sponsors

Sponsors have an important role in the initiation process.  They are active Catholics who may be personal friends or relatives of the candidate who are able and willing to assume the responsibilities of a Sponsor by being good examples of prayer, witness, hope, inspiration, and love to the catechumens.

How can I help?

There are opportunities for those practicing Catholics who become involved in the RCIA program as members who serve as teachers and spiritual directors to strengthen their own faith and relationship with God by their participation in this blessed journey.
