We are excited to have you join our Confirmation program for youth at St. Clare of Assisi.  Our mission is to ignite a generation of young people to come to know, love and serve Christ and His Church. We will journey together and explore and enrich our faith by following Christ and being open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Preparing to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation is not just a catechetical program where we instill knowledge in the minds of young Catholics. It is only through a true encounter with the Person of Jesus Christ will youth be inspired to lead a life of fidelity to Him.

At St. Clare of Assisi the Confirmation Preparation Process is a 2-year process for ALL families, regardless of the educational program in which a youth is enrolled.  The Confirmation program is open to families with whose children will be in the seventh grade during the 2025-2026 school year.

What Does This Journey Look Like for a Family?

Zeal  for Families  (grade 7)

Led by their parents in 7 at-home Family Meetings, children will grow in relationship with the Holy Spirit and a life of discipleship, through a variety of hands-on activities and meaningful conversations. Families will dive deeper into the incredible gift God gives us of Confirmation, with Zeal. They will also participate in 1 at-home Sponsor Meeting, 3 at-church Family Sessions, and 1 at-church Family mini-Retreat

Year 1 for New Families: Sacramental Foundation Year

For families new to our family faith programs you will participate in Seek and Root.  If you are a returning family who already completed the Seek and Root programs you will join our ongoing formation programs for the foundational year in preparation for the sacramental year.

Year 1 for Returning Families: Sacramental Foundation Year

Returning families have the option to repeat Seek and Root (if their child has not completed this program) or to participate in the Family Villages.  This program occurs mainly within the home and continues the family sessions established during the foundational year.  Families meet in small groups of families either in a home or at the parish a few times throughout the year.

Year 2 for All Families: Sacramental Year

During the year of sacramental preparation families will participate in Zealfor Teens (grade 8) – Families will participate in 7 at-church sessions, 7 at home family sessions, one sponsor at home meeting, and one at church mini-retreat.  Candidates are also required to attend a weekend retreat. There will be a service component as well.

How do I Register?

Before registering for a program, a member of the Faith Formation team will meet with you in order to get to know you and your family and be able to better guide you in the formation process.

We look forward to getting to know you!

*Families in multiple programs will only have one meeting with a Faith Formation Team member.
