Fall is here and St. Clare is a busy place to be! From Bible studies and fellowship nights to special gatherings for our youth and families, there’s something for everyone. Here’s a roundup of the events happening this month:

Fall Festival

The 10th Anniversary edition of our fall festival is Sunday, October 13 from 12:00-4:00pm in the back parking lot. This is a free event for all our parishioners, and will be the best and most fun festival we’ve had yet! We will have a limited quantity of our t-shirts, mugs, and magnets available for purchase. We will not have a 10:30am or 12:30pm Mass, and instead will combine the two into an 11:00am Mass to ensure that all can enjoy the celebration and those participating in Mass will not be distracted. The back parking lot will be closed October 12-13 for setup and for the event. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Men’s Bible Study

Men’s Bible Study is Tuesday, October 1, 8, and 15. Men of the parish are invited to join for a Lectio Divina Bible Study held the first 3 Tuesdays of every month from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. The study is led by Mike Hittle, reach out at mlk523@yahoo.com.

Mom’s Group

Mom’s Group is for all the moms of our parish and the October meeting is Tuesday, October 1. We meet the first Tuesday of every month from 9:30am to 11:30am for coffee, a playdate for the kids and fellowship with other moms. First Thursday Coffee

Our October First Thursday Coffee is Thursday, October 3. Join us for fellowship and coffee in Rooms 3/5 following the 9:00am daily Mass. If you want to bring a bakery item to share, you are welcome to but it is not required!

Ladies Night

Ladies of the parish, mark your calendars for ladies’ night on Thursday, October 3 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. This event will be potluck style – bring a dish to share and enjoy an evening of fellowship and prayer. We look forward to seeing you there.

Youth Group

Youth group meets on Sunday nights – We’ll meet 6:15-7:45pm in Rooms 3/5. For more information, reach out to our Youth Ministry Coordinator, Susan Baker at sbaker@stclarecc.org.

Storytelling with Natalie Jones – Senior Adult Event

What is storytelling? Come and find out from professional storyteller Natalie Jones. On Friday, October 18, at 1:00pm in Rooms 3/5, she will share a variety of genres popular in the storytelling world including stories crafted from her own life, folktales and an out and out lie! Exaggerated tall tales are featured in contests all over the nation, and Natalie has won awards in three states. As a former teacher, librarian and park ranger, Natalie has been captivating listeners for over 30 years. Come hear tales to warm your heart and fill your soul with laughter. This event is sponsored by the Senior Group, but all are invited to attend. If you are planning on attending, your RSVP is required by Monday, October 14. Men’s Night at the Rectory

Men of the parish, our Men’s Night at the Rectory for October is Friday, October 18 at 7:00pm at the Rectory. Bring a chair and whatever you want to enjoy while sharing fellowship with the other men of the parish. All men are welcome.
