Parochial Vicar
Email MeFather Bradley Starr has dedicated his life to service and is honored to continue his vocation with the community of St. Clare’s. Born in Charleston, South Carolina, in 1986, his upbringing involved frequent relocations due to his father’s career in the Navy, bringing him to several states and eventually to Gwinnett County, Georgia, where he graduated from Collins Hill High School. Initially pursuing music education at McNeese State University in Louisiana, he discovered a deeper calling to the priesthood while studying the violin. After discerning this divine call, he entered Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary at the age of 24, following a period of working as a waiter to settle college debts. His six and a half years of study and prayer culminated in his ordination in 2017 on the Feast of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist, marking the beginning of his ministry at St. Patrick’s, later followed by roles as parochial vicar at Good Shepherd and pastor at Good Samaritan.
In addition to his parish ministry, and at the direction of the bishop, Father Starr is pursuing advanced studies in canon law through a remote program at St. Paul’s University in Ottawa, a journey with three years remaining. Recently, he was invited by the archbishop to serve at St. Clare’s as parochial vicar while continuing his studies, a calling he accepted with joy. In partnership with Father Tim and under his leadership, Father Starr looks forward to the plans the Lord has in store for him.
