Here at St. Clare, we divide our active parish life, parish ministries and apostolates, into three categories: Come to Know, Come to Love, and Come to Serve. This is based on the Baltimore Catechism, which states the answer to the question of "Why did God make you?" is "God made me to know Him, to love Him, and to serve Him in this world, and to be happy with Him for ever in heaven." Our path to sanctity is simply to live these three paths well.
To find out where you can get involved, ask yourself this question, "Is my goal with being involved to A) come to know the Lord, B) come to love the Lord, or C) come to serve the Lord?" Follow the answer to one of our three categories!
You may be used to all church activities being lumped into a category called Ministries. At St. Clare, we understand ministries to be services of piety directed toward God, while our apostolates are services of mercy towards our neighbor. These are our paths to point back to seeing God and direct our path to heaven - hence our parish life is divided as such.
If you are seeking fellowship with fellow parishioners, please look under the "Fellowship" section for opportunities around St. Clare to connect and build community with others.
We hope you will find a home in one of our many ministries and apostolates, and build a community that leads you closer to the heart of our Lord.
